Spiritual Director

Jan utilizes the methods of classical Christian spiritual masters blended with the wisdom of Eastern spirituality supported by contemporary psychology.  Since her certification in 1993, she has companioned many in life's journeys. She tends the souls of seekers yearning for the Divine.  A Jungian psychologist calls her a "Soul Tender".

Jan holds certification as Spiritual Director (1993) and is trained in Ignatian, Carmelite, Salesian, Benedictine and Celtic spiritualities.  She is a Benedictine Oblate with St. Scholastica Monastery in Boerne, Texas.  www.boernebenedictines.com

Jan has made several pilgrimages to Taize, the home of the international ecumenical community in the south of Burgundy in France.  The community, founded in 1940 by Brother Roger, has shared its heart in prayer and reflection while focusing on the "pilgrimage of trust on earth".  The Taize spirituality of simplicity and prayer has informed Jan's personal devotion and practice.  www.taize.fr/en
